A recent example of this was the work we did for Honda, who were looking to take their first steps into eCommerce for <a href="https://powerequipment.honda.com.au/" target="_self">power equipment tools</a> on their Australian website.</p><h2>The Problem</h2><p>Honda approached us with the task of finding the ideal platform to manage their commerce needs. In response, we used our tried and tested selection process to find them the right platform to match their requirements. Like everything we do at blueburra, this process has been designed through innovative thinking to streamline and optimise any decision-making. This was complimentary to the traditional RFP (Request for Proposal) process which is often slow, cumbersome and relies too heavily on unreliable sales pitches.</p><p>The selection process that we used for Honda was fast-tracked through a scored market scan followed by a technical proof of concept, rather than pitches. This process was faster, more accurate, and most importantly, able to match Honda with the right platform for them.</p>

<h2>The Solution</h2><p>The eCommerce platform that was decided on for Honda was Salesforce Commerce. When it came time to implement their new website into the platform, we decided on using a hybrid approach. Sitecore would provide the front end for most of the product and catalogue pages, using Salesforce as a headless commerce engine. The cart and checkout would use the Salesforce Commerce hosted solution. We chose this approach as it was cost-effective and timely, and met all of Honda’s requirements for their new eCommerce website.</p><p>Of course, this project could not have been completed without the hard work of everyone on the blueburra team, as well as the significant support we received from other companies. We would like to acknowledge Honda for being such a cooperative client throughout the entire process, as well as the staff over at <a href="https://amblique.com/" target="_self">Amblique</a> – a Salesforce commerce cloud partner. Their assistance was essential in completing this project to the high standard we were aiming for.</p><p>Overall, the Honda project took our team four months to complete. Honda now has a fast, reliable, and user-friendly commerce website to sell their power equipment tools to the Australian market. It was an exciting project to work on that allowed our team to showcase how we devise and implement smart solutions to match the clients’ unique needs.</p>
